ESKQ Steakhouse & Wine Bar

ESKQ is a small, speakeasy-style steakhouse on Jalan Raya Babakan in Canggu with an industrial fit-out and a wine bar at its heart. Its point of difference is the hours: the kitchen runs until 2am, rare in an area where most restaurants close by ten. Fridays bring live jazz.

Every cut is cooked directly over natural wood. The list covers Australian grain-fed striploin, US rib eye, Wagyu skirt, a Wagyu picanha at MB9 and a tomahawk for two that must be pre-ordered. Beef tongue and filet mignon also feature, and the menu has grown to include raw and grilled seafood and wine-led small plates.

Come for a late dinner with a bottle: there are around 50 international labels with sommelier pairing. Prices are moderate for the quality, with a 250g striploin from IDR 330,000. Book through the website or WhatsApp; closed on Mondays.
