The Plantation Grill is the flagship restaurant of Double-Six Luxury Hotel, on the fourth floor above Double Six beach. The look is 1920s plantation-house glamour: a spiral staircase, leather booths and staff in tuxedos.
The grill list is built on grain-fed Black Angus. The Plantation Rib Eye (250g) and the thinly sliced Plantation Minute Steak are the classic orders, and the thick-cut dry-aged New York striploin on the bone is the pick for beef lovers. Higher up there is Australian pure-blood Wagyu rib eye, A5 Japanese Wagyu striploin and a USDA Prime tomahawk. Seafood and starters such as steak tartare and oysters Kilpatrick fill out the menu.
Dress up: this is one of Bali's more formal dining rooms and suits anniversaries and celebration dinners. The sommelier can steer you towards bottles not often seen on the island. Bookings via TableCheck.
