Altitude Grill is on the 46th floor of The Plaza office tower, attached to Plaza Indonesia on Jalan Thamrin. The long room has red velvet chairs, a large painted mural and floor-to-ceiling glass looking across central Jakarta, and it opens in the late afternoon, so sunset tables go first.
The kitchen dry-ages its beef in glass cabinets on site and cooks it with Japanese technique and seasoning. The 29-day dry-aged ribeye is the signature, served sliced on a board; bone-in cuts such as the tomahawk are also offered. Starters such as Hokkaido scallops and the tuna pizza reflect the Japanese influence, and the sides are lighter than at the American chophouses.
Best for a date or an occasion where the view matters. A non-refundable deposit of Rp500,000 per person is required to confirm bookings through Chope, and groups of ten or more face a minimum spend. Open daily from 4pm to 11pm.
