Fat Belly is a neighbourhood steakhouse in Serene Centre, a short walk from Botanic Gardens MRT. It specialises in secondary cuts sourced from producers around the world and cooked over charcoal embers. It traded for a time as FBG and has since gone back to the Fat Belly name.
The value end of the menu is the grain-fed Angus flat iron, which Eatbook lists at S$28++. At the top end, the fullblood wagyu MS8/9 Denver costs S$68++. Onglet appears regularly too. There are five dipping sauces at around S$4++ each, including salsa verde, Sarawak black peppercorn, and truffle and nori butter. Starters and sides round out a short, steak-led menu.
It is a relaxed choice for Bukit Timah and Holland residents who want a proper steak without going into town. Reservations are taken only through the online portal, and delivery and takeaway are available. It shares an owner, Eleven Seventeen Capital, with Meadesmoore.
