Origin Grill sits off the Tower Wing lobby of Shangri-La Singapore on Orange Grove Road, a few minutes from the top of Orchard Road. The room is light and airy, with arched alcoves and banquettes. Australian chef de cuisine Simon Bell, formerly of Fat Prince, refreshed the menu in 2026 with Mediterranean touches.
Everything centres on an ironbark wood and charcoal grill. A 300g MB4+ ribeye is S$78, Miyazaki A5 wagyu striploin is S$58 per 100g, and a 200g flank steak with hand-cut fries at S$28 is one of the better-value hotel steaks in town. The split OP ribeye sharing platter serves groups, and smoked bone marrow, crab cake and chicken and chorizo skewers fill out the menu.
A relaxed hotel option for families, with a kids' menu, as well as for business lunches: the executive set lunch starts at S$42 and Sunday brunch costs S$98. Lunch and dinner are served daily.
