Buenos Aires Polo Club is Black Sheep Restaurants' Argentine steakhouse, opened in 2016 on the seventh floor of LKF Tower. The look is a Recoleta members' club: deep green walls, leather banquettes, polo memorabilia and a well-known collection of steak knives, with a separate bar that opens daily from 5pm.
The grill follows the asado tradition and every steak comes with chimichurri. Argentine grass-fed Black Angus is the core, with a 12oz ribeye and 8oz tenderloin at HK$548, a 14oz sirloin and a 32oz bone-in ribeye for sharing. A smaller 'chef's selected' list adds corn-fed US Prime New York strip and an 18oz Australian wagyu ribeye. Start with provoleta, empanadas or roasted bone marrow, and add creamed spinach or provenzal fries.
It suits groups and nights out more than quiet dinners; the music and bar keep energy high. Set menus for large parties and a weekend Polo Brunch are available. No dress code, though most guests dress up.
