Don Pedro opened in 2026 on Second Street in Sai Ying Pun, a 35-seat steakhouse and wine bar styled on a Buenos Aires bodegón. White tiles, candlelight and staff in butcher's coats set the tone, with Spanish covers of pop songs on the stereo.
The beef is grass-fed Aberdeen Angus from the Argentine Pampas, dry-aged and cooked on a plancha. The 228g bife de lomo (tenderloin) is HK$298 and comes simply with chimichurri; larger cuts change with the ageing room. Start with the in-house charcuterie, such as pork terrine, chicken liver parfait or flambéed chorizo, or seared beef tongue, and finish with churros or the Don Pedro sundae.
The wine list is a deep dive into Malbec, with many bottles from smaller Argentine producers, so this is a place for a long, relaxed dinner with friends. It opens for dinner only, every day. Prices are friendlier than most Central steakhouses.
