Lawry's The Prime Rib is the Hong Kong outpost of the Beverly Hills original, run by Maxim's and open since 2006, now on the third floor of The Galleria on Queen's Road Central. The art deco dining room, private dining areas and stainless-steel carving carts keep the 1930s theatre of the brand.
Prime rib is the point. USDA Black Angus rib is wet-aged, slow-roasted whole for at least four hours and carved at the table to your choice of cut, from the thin California Cut to the thick Diamond Jim Brady. It comes with the Famous Original Spinning Bowl Salad, dressed tableside, and Lawry's seasoned salt on every table. Weekend brunch serves a Hong Kong Cut of prime rib from HK$518 with a buffet of starters and desserts.
It suits birthdays, family celebrations and anyone who wants a traditional, unhurried roast-beef dinner. Booking two days ahead is recommended, and a dress code applies for men on weekdays (no shorts, sleeveless tops or open-toed shoes).
Hours and prices change, so please check with the restaurant before you go.
