Omaroo is the Wooloomooloo Group's Central grill, one of its newest venues, on the 26th floor of H Queen's with a rooftop bar above. The name means 'a beautiful view' in an Aboriginal language, and floor-to-ceiling windows look over the harbour and the Central skyline.
Steaks lean Australian and are wet-aged for two to four weeks. A 340g 200-day grain-fed ribeye is HK$570, a grass-fed filet mignon HK$500, and USDA Prime ribeye and sirloin sit just above. For sharing there is a short bone-in ribeye of around 1kg and a 2kg wagyu tomahawk, and the beef Wellington is a signature. Seafood, an Iberico pork chop and vegetarian dishes cover non-steak eaters.
Go for a date night or drinks-then-dinner, and book a window table at sunset. Set lunches, a weekend brunch and a semi-private room for 14 are available. Sister Wooloomooloo Steakhouses are in Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui.
