Tango has served Argentine beef in Central for more than a decade and reopened on the second floor of the Grand Progress Building in Lan Kwai Fong in early 2024. Vintage pendant lamps, a painted brick mural and an open kitchen give it a relaxed parrilla feel.
All the beef is Argentine, from La Pampa, raised without hormones or antibiotics. When it reopened, a 400g ribeye was HK$418, a 280g lomo fillet HK$368 and a 300g hanger steak HK$308, alongside a range of 30-day dry-aged cuts. Order empanadas, grilled achuras (offal) and provoleta to start, and pair with Malbec from a list that is almost entirely Argentine.
It works well for groups and families, with a kids' menu at weekend brunch and a daily 'Gaucho Hour' happy hour from 5.30pm. Weekday set lunches are good value. The S&S group's Braza churrascaria is upstairs in the same building.
