Hugo's first opened in 1969 and was later revived at the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui. It is a traditional European grill room built around gueridon service, with staff dressing Caesar salad, flambéing steak au poivre and pouring lobster bisque at the table.
Beef is the main reason to come. Roasted US rib of beef is the signature, US prime Angus steaks come off the open grill, and tournedos Rossini is on the menu. On Tuesdays, unlimited steak frites (HK$888) brings bone-in rib-eye, rib-eye, sirloin and tenderloin with black pepper or porcini sauce, Caesar salad and free-flow sommelier-picked wine.
A good fit for diners who like classic hotel service and wine with their steak. On Wine Wednesday, corkage is waived on one 750ml bottle for every HK$800 spent. There is also a three-course set lunch and a weekend brunch (HK$888).
