Steak Go Where

Kowloon & New Territories

Kowloon's steakhouses make the most of the harbour, with hotel grill rooms looking across to Hong Kong Island, while the New Territories add a rooftop grill at Tung Chung. The area also keeps Hong Kong's own sizzling-plate steak tradition alive.

Henry at Rosewood finishes porterhouse with tableside whisky flambé, and The Steak House at the Regent dry-ages beef from the US, Japan, Korea and Australia. Hugo's at the Hyatt Regency dates from 1969, and Morton's The Steakhouse sits on the Sheraton's fourth floor on Nathan Road. The Orient at Ocean Terminal has a Josper grill and a harbour-facing terrace.

Book harbour-view tables ahead. Golden Phoenix Restaurant offers casual set meals under US$25, while Henry, Morton's and The Steak House are fine dining, over US$100 per person for a main steak. Sunset Grill in Tung Chung looks over Lantau and the sea.
