The Orient opened in 2026 at the tip of Ocean Terminal, replacing S&S Hospitality's Harbourside Grill. A forest-green 90-seat dining room opens onto an 80-seat terrace with an uninterrupted 180-degree view of Victoria Harbour. Head chef Eggi Enkh-Amgalan previously ran the grill at the group's Argentine steakhouse, Tango.
Beef is cooked on a Spanish Josper charcoal oven and aged up to 30 days, mostly hormone-free Azul Natural Angus from Argentina. Steaks take Southeast Asian seasoning: a 12oz Sichuan-crusted sirloin (HK$378), a 12oz rujak-glazed rib-eye (HK$408) and an 8oz Thai crispy tenderloin (HK$358). Australian M5 and Japanese A5 striploin, USDA T-bone and a large-cut prime rib cover sharing and splurges.
Best for sundowners that turn into dinner, or a harbour-view business lunch. A weekday express lunch offers hanger, striploin or rib-eye, and the wine list runs to over 100 labels with a focus on Asian producers.
