Ruth's Chris Steak House

Ruth's Chris occupies the ground floor of the Somerset Grand Citra serviced residence on Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio, a short drive from the Kuningan embassy strip and the Mega Kuningan towers. The room is formal in the American-chain way, with booths, chandeliers, white cloths and a bar that works for a pre-dinner drink, and there is a private room for company dinners.

The house style is simple: USDA Prime steaks broiled at very high heat and served on plates heated to around 500°F, finished with butter rather than sauce. The filet and ribeye are the core orders, with the New York strip for those who want more chew. Crab cakes in lemon butter are the usual starter, and the cheesecake with fresh berries is the standard finish. The wine list is long and award-focused.
