Mandarin Grill looks over KLCC Park from Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, at the foot of the Petronas Towers. Relaunched in 2023 with an Italian accent, it is a formal, quiet room for a steak dinner, and Tatler included it among Malaysia's best steakhouses in 2025.
The kitchen cooks on Josper charcoal grills and in wood-fired ovens. Beef ranges from grain-fed Angus to Australian Sher wagyu, with 45-day aged cuts such as the Angus Florentine T-bone, a Sher wagyu Black Label tomahawk for sharing and an Argentine beef Wellington made with Devesa beef. Angus tartare with caviar and the classic tiramisu are the usual bookends, and there is a full wine list.
Suits business entertaining, hotel guests and a polished date night. A set lunch and a weekend lunch menu make a cheaper introduction than dinner. Flash photography is discouraged. Book via the hotel; prices were not published online at the time of research.
