Braseiro was opened by French owner-chef Alexandre Pini, who arrived in Singapore with no restaurant background. It has become a neighbourhood fixture on Joo Chiat Road, with a cosy, Paris-bistro feel downstairs and a livelier upstairs room that fills with PSG fans on match nights.
The format is classic steak frites. Order a flame-grilled meat and you get free-flow hand-cut fries and green salad with vinaigrette. Eatbook lists the 200g Entrecôte (ribeye) at S$29.90++, while live2makan's 2025 review covered a 300g version. Groups of four can share the Planche des copains (S$139.90++) of ribeye, duck breast, beef skewers, roast chicken and sausages. The hand-cut beef tartare is also worth ordering.
It is good value for a casual East-side dinner. A second outlet operates at Novena Regency, 275 Thomson Road. Both open daily for lunch and dinner. Phone ahead on weekends and football nights.
