Keef The Beef began as a home-based business during the pandemic, run by a husband-and-wife team. It moved into a colonial black-and-white bungalow at Rochester Park, near Buona Vista, which gives it a far more leafy setting than a city steakhouse. The bungalow also takes event bookings.
Cuts come from the US, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. They are cooked in butter and finished under a very hot salamander for a deep crust, in what the restaurant calls its 'PL' style. Eatbook recommends the Argentine Angus grass-fed ribeye (S$142++, enough for two or three) and the USDA Prime T-bone (S$247++) for sharing. There is also a USDA beef gyudon at lunch.
It works for birthdays and anniversaries, or a business lunch away from the CBD. It is open daily but closes between 3pm and 5pm. Parking is available at Rochester Commons. A loyalty programme and takeaway with reheating guides are offered.
