The Feather Blade started as a pop-up and has served steaks from a shophouse on Tanjong Pagar Road since 2019. The concept is deliberately narrow: an alternative cut from the cow's shoulder, cooked well and sold at a fair price, with a bar pouring beef-inspired cocktails alongside.
The signature 200g feather blade steak is grilled over binchotan white charcoal, which Eatbook describes as giving it a clean, slightly sweet smokiness; it is listed at S$28++. Sides and sauces lean Asian rather than classic steakhouse. The beef and scallops don, with sukiyaki onions, onsen egg and furikake over Japanese rice, is a good lunch option.
This is a good pick for an after-work steak with friends or a no-fuss date in the Tanjong Pagar bar strip. Lunch runs Wednesday to Sunday only, while dinner is served every night. Book through SevenRooms, as the room is small. It also does delivery and pick-up.
