Bull & Bear sits on the 55th floor of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, which bills it as the city's highest steakhouse. Leather banquettes, marble and a gold-lit ceiling face floor-to-ceiling windows over the city, and the view is the main event after dark.
Steaks and seafood are cooked on a custom grill fuelled by eucalyptus and other hardwood charcoal. Beef comes from Australia and Japan, ranging from a 125g Saga wagyu striploin to a one-kilogram Australian wagyu porterhouse, and Chope diners point to the 55-day dry-aged steak. Australian wagyu tartare, roasted bone marrow and lobster bisque open the meal, with truffle mac and cheese and salt-roasted mash among the sides.
It is built for celebrations and impress-the-client dinners, and a three-course set lunch makes the room more accessible by day. Time Out notes a Sunday semi-buffet. Jamón Ibérico appears on the menu. Ratchadamri BTS is directly below.
