Fireplace Grill and Bar has been part of Bangkok's hotel dining scene since 1966 and today sits on the ground floor of the InterContinental on Phloen Chit Road. A 2024 refurbishment and menu overhaul kept the heritage feel, with a private room for business groups and live jazz on Thursday nights.
Beef comes from Australia, Japan and the US. The classics are Stockyard prime rib and Stanbroke Sanchoku wagyu striploin, with an Australian Black Onyx tomahawk added for sharing; Michelin has previously noted that beef is cooked over charcoal from Phetchaburi. Tournedos Rossini, escargots, beef tartare and seared foie gras keep the old-school grill-room character, and crêpes Suzette close the meal. The cellar lists around 300 wines.
It suits business lunches and dinners near the Chit Lom offices, and lunch and dinner run daily. Reservations can be made through Chope or by email. Chit Lom BTS is a short walk away via the skywalk.
