Penthouse Bar + Grill occupies the 34th to 36th floors of the Park Hyatt Bangkok above Central Embassy. The three levels combine an open-kitchen grill room, a cocktail bar with live music, a rooftop bar with skyline views and the Blue Room, a Johnnie Walker whisky lounge. Art deco styling, wood and marble give it a moody, after-dark feel.
Chef Marco Chavez Javier cooks over a Koppa parrilla oven, and Australian steaks are the core of the grill menu. Koktail highlights an A5 wagyu striploin, and there is a beef tasting menu for those who want to compare cuts. Porcini mushroom mac and cheese is the side to add, and the bar's martinis and Old Fashioneds suit a steak dinner. DJ sets and live jazz play on selected nights.
It works best for a date or a night out that starts with drinks and ends on the roof. Lunch and dinner run daily, with the kitchen open until midnight. Ploen Chit BTS is a short walk away.
