El Toro Steakhouse & Churrascaria is a meat-first restaurant on Sukhumvit Road near Asoke, started as a butcher and eatery and still built around its meat counter. The Bangkok Post summed it up as being about the meat and nothing but the meat, and the room works for both business meals and family groups.
There are two ways to eat. The à la carte menu lists charcoal-grilled steaks, with beef tenderloin, ribeye and Australian Black Angus the most recommended cuts on Chope. The churrasco menus, in standard and premium versions, bring skewers of rump, sausages, chicken hearts and other cuts to the table in the Brazilian style. Pork sausage and a pork tomahawk also feature, so it is not halal.
Groups get the best value from the churrasco, while couples may prefer a single steak from the à la carte list. It is open daily from 11am to 11pm, which makes it useful for a long lunch. Chope diners rate it 4.7. The nearest stations are BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit.
