Sukhumvit, Thonglor and Ekkamai are Bangkok's liveliest steak area, with hotel grill rooms, Argentine houses and party-style grills along the main road and its sois. Styles range from Manhattan chophouse and Argentine parrilla to Brazilian churrasco and farm-to-table roasting.
New York Steakhouse at the JW Marriott is Michelin Selected, and Rib Room & Bar Steakhouse serves tableside flambés on The Landmark's 31st floor. LAVA Fire Grill in Thonglor smokes wagyu over coconut shell, Quilombo on Thonglor Soi 5 serves a 1.2kg T-bone, and El Gaucho Argentinian Steakhouse spreads over four floors beside Terminal 21.
Order New York Steakhouse's Châteaubriand for two 24 hours ahead. Cocotte Farm Roast & Winery and El Toro Steakhouse & Churrascaria are mid-range, about US$25–50 per person for a main steak; most others are upscale. Several are not halal, so check if needed.
