Baba Hot Box

Baba Hot Box is the grill restaurant at Sri Panwa, the villa resort on the Cape Panwa headland south-east of Phuket Town. It sits next to a quiet pool among old trees, away from the resort's busier bars, and opens from lunch through to early evening.

Everything is grilled and smoked in a Spanish Josper charcoal oven. You pick your meat and seafood, then your sauces and sides. The beef list covers striploin, rib eye, wagyu skirt, long-bone kalbi, beef rib and a wagyu tomahawk for sharing; Phuket 101 singles out the beef rib. Andaman prawns, snapper, grouper, salmon and tuna steak cover the seafood side, and the Surf and Turf set (one premium meat, one seafood and a drink) is THB 1,588++.

A relaxed daytime option for groups, with pool access for diners between 9am and 6pm. Non-resort guests pay a minimum spend of THB 2,000 net per person, secured by credit card when booking, and bookings open one month ahead. Book via the Baba website or on +66 76 371 008.
