Phuket's steakhouses are mostly resort and beach affairs, spread along the west coast from Nai Yang and Bang Tao to Surin, Patong and Karon. Charcoal grills and Josper ovens are common, and many pair sea or sunset views with dry-aged Australian beef and Japanese wagyu.

Wagyu Steakhouse at Twinpalms on Surin Beach lets you choose your cut from the display fridge. AGE Restaurant at Anantara Layan uses a Josper charcoal oven and a 350-label cellar, and Ember Steakhouse on Bang Tao Beach has a rooftop over the Andaman Sea. Rivet & Rebar at The Slate runs an open-fire grill and smokehouse, and Churrasco Phuket in Jungceylon serves wagyu picanha at fair prices.

Phuket is listed island-wide rather than by area, so check the beach or town in each listing before booking. Reserve sunset tables early. Churrasco Phuket is pork-free; several resort steakhouses are not halal.
