Rivet is the grill restaurant at The Slate, a design-led resort near Nai Yang Beach in the north of the island. The room plays on Phuket's tin-mining past with heavy wood, leather and industrial fittings, and Rebar next door handles drinks before and after dinner. The wine list holds a 2026 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Everything comes off an open fire or out of the smokehouse. The current menu runs from hickory-smoked beef brisket and braised beef cheek to picanha, US tenderloin and a ribeye, all served with garlic cream, black garlic and red wine. Charcoal-grilled Phuket lobster is the dish Phuket 101 mentions most, and lamb cutlets and grilled grouper cover non-beef options.
Suits couples and small groups staying in the north of the island. Dinner runs 6pm to 11pm with a smart-casual dress code, and the restaurant only takes guests aged eight and over. Booking is essential and outside guests pay a non-refundable THB 1,000 per person deposit to confirm.
